Returning to God
If you are reading this page, then you may be like many of us.
As we grew into adulthood, our lives became more and more cluttered. The demands of burgeoning careers, social lives, education, and family clamored for our attention. Abandoning church for a quiet Sunday morning did not feel like abandoning God.
We felt a longing.
And yet, as time passed we felt a longing. Our morning and evening prayers weren’t as long as they used to be or they disappeared. Our social lives centered around work, computers, sports and night clubs.
As children, we felt the open-hearted warmth of our Lord Jesus Christ. We felt his love and believed we had a personal connection with him. As busy adults, those sentiments seemed too juvenile to entertain.
The Child of God family is here to let you know that many of us were like you. We got to the point where we didn’t have much room in our life for God or turned our back on him completely. We’re here to to tell you what we learned: In your Baptism God called you to be His child and even though you may have forgotten him at one point in your life, He never forgot you. And if you have never known the love of God, He is calling you now. Please join us this Sunday at 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. All you have to do is show up. If you have toddlers or children, don’t worry, we love having them here. If you need a ride or a phone call, please ask. Send us an email, we will be there for you.
